United Way of Passaic County is pleased to announce there are two Vincent D. Pavese Scholarships ($1,500 each) available this year and students are invited to apply. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must be high school seniors attending a high school in Passaic County.
The Vincent D. Pavese Scholarship is a memorial to Vincent D. Pavese, who was the President and CEO of United Way of Passaic County until his death in January 1993. As per the wishes of the Pavese family, the high school senior applying for this scholarship must plan to attend college and pursue a career in public service. A 500 word essay must accompany this application. The Scholarship Committee is made up of the Pavese family who place a great deal of importance on the essay.
The deadline for applications is Monday April 28, 2017. To apply for the scholarship, candidates must send via regular mail the completed application and required attachments to United Way of Passaic County. The Pavese family will review the applications and will announce the awards in May. The Scholarship will be awarded in June.
