Help United Way of Passaic County increase the number of First Grade Students reading at grade level for future academic success and break down barriers to college access for high school students by serving as an AmeriCorps Vista!
AmeriCorps VISTA members are passionate and committed to their mission to bring individuals and communities out of poverty. Members make a year-long, full-time commitment to serve on a specific project.
Duties: AmeriCorps VISTA members’ will build organizational capacity, such as developing policies and procedures to enhance United Way of Passaic County’s(UWPC) capacity to engage and maintain volunteers to support services, establishing community relationships to support the expansion of services as well as developing long term fundraising plans.
Benefits: Living Allowance, Health Care, Child Care, Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend, Skilled based and professional training provided.
